A Funny Story Of Laxmi Prasad Devkota

 Devkota was known for his sharp intellect and quick responses. Once, while he was attending a gathering, someone commented on his financial struggles and asked, “You’re such a great poet, but you always seem to be in debt. Why don’t you focus on making money like other educated people?”

Without missing a beat, Devkota replied with a smile: “If I were interested in making money, I would have opened a shop selling my poems, but who would come and buy poetry? Instead, I prefer to live in a shop where thoughts are free and creativity costs nothing.”
